What a great combination of function and fashion!
This repurposed trunk/coffee table has been hand constructed using a vintage pitara trunk. This traditional dowry trunk on wheels has been given new life as a coffee table with plenty of storage for games, memories, toys, shoes, music, etc.
Rustic yet sturdy and functional! This is a ooak conversation piece that you can build a room around.
The blues you see are the traditional colors of Jodhpur, India where we found the pitara trunk. The top is constructed of repurposed sheesham wood planks. The body of the coffee table is vintage teak and iron. The "back" of the coffee table is stained the same dark brown as the top. The iron accents on the top are repurposed as well!
