This is a 1980s Polaroid Impulse Auto Focus camera. The body is a hard-wearing plastic and has rubber grips around the rear, flash-ready light and film counter. The flash is raised by pressing down onto the top of the unit; this also turns the camera on and retracts the lens cover.

Features common to all Impulse fixed-focus models are:

Single element plastic lens with fixed aperture (116mm, f9)
4 ft minimum focus distance.
Exposure compensation controls below lens.
Flash fires for every shot; cannot be user controlled.

I put an old working cartridge in the camera to test and it does turn on (the mechanics activate and move as they should) and it pushed out a photo. The flash fired as well. The film in the cartridge I have expired long ago so I was unable to actually expose a picture. New film can be purchased from The Impossible Project online.

Camera is in good condition with normal wear to the body.

Item ships USPS Priority Mail for domestic orders and First Class for international.
