The turquoise cab in this piece is set in a step bezel - the bottom part of the bezel is thicker than the top part, which creates the step. The backplate of the piece is precious metal clay, and the pearl is set, with 2 part epoxy, on a sterling silver post that I soldered to the back. The whole piece was oxidized before I set the stones, and I also patinated the chain, clasp and jump rings before I assembled the piece. There is a small gap at the point of the cabochon and the setting, but I didn't feel it detracted enough from the piece not to list it. And I do struggle with those decisions. :D
The pendant measures 1.5" (4 cm) long and 1/2" (1.25 cm) wide. The chain is 18" (46 cm) long and closes with a lobster claw clasp. All metal components are either sterling or fine silver (92.5% silver or 99.9% silver, respectively).
