This is a great 1950s Blomer and Schuler clockwork swing ride around the globe or as they were sometimes known, a carousel ride. The lithograph tin plate was manufactured by Blomer and Schuler in Western Germany in the 1950s and carries the tradmark BS elephant. I have shown the trademark and the made in Western Germany printed on the side in one of the pictures.
There are two passangers in each compartment, one boy and one girl that are going around and around. It makes you feel that you could reach out and touch the earth which is positioned on the tip of this great collectible.
The bright lithographed tinplate shows cowboys fighting the indians under the boys and girls riding the cars. An amazing day of fun at the fair!!!
The condition of this great litho toy is very good to excellent. The colors are vivid and bright. There is minimal wear to the entire structure with the exception being some scratching where the lever is engaged to run the ride and some minimal scratching around the rim. The ride swings smoothly with no hitching and no noticable noise!! This great piece measures 8" tall and 5" diameter at the base.
This is a stunning example of 1950s German lithograph!!!
As always, ENJOY!!!
