This lovely bird feeder is made using an upcycled lily pad shaped saucer with a beautiful pink and blue floral design and a matching teacup, both of which are edged with a thin silver line.
The bird feeder is shown on a 3/4 inch conduit pvc pipe, which is not included in order to allow for customization and lower shipping costs. The bolt is intended to fit into some type of pipe be it pvc or copper; however, it would also look nice, if you secured it to a deck or table by drilling a hole big enough for the bolt fit securely. **If you do chose to go the pipe route, I recommend securing the base of the plate to the pipe using two part water proof epoxy.**
While it is pictured in a garden, the lily pad shape of the plate lends itself quite nicely to a backyard pond. Simply measure the pvc pipe to water level and secure the bird feeder to the pipe. A nice little bonus: it can double as a little bird bath, if you fill the teacup with water.
The teacup has been secured to the saucer using silicone adhesive, while the 3/8 inch carriage bolt in the center of the saucer was glued using epoxy. It is approximately 8 inches wide and a little over 4 inches tall with the bolt extending nearly 2 inches from the bottom of the plate.
