The man who penned the words "not all those who wander are lost" clearly knew a thing or two about travel. This quote, however, speaks of more than just wanderlust: it smacks of progress and growth as well. So, whether you are a wanderer, or merely someone who needs reminding that the best progress is made by simply putting one foot in front of the other, over and over again, this mug is for you.
I painted it on a pedestal goblet with a dark green base and a small, teacup-shaped bowl. On either side of the quote I added a brightly-colored leaf, as a tribute to the word we travel in--and also the one Tolkien so often wrote about.

I do all my painting with Pebeo heat-set ceramic paint, which withstands dishwashing and the passage of time quite well, but prefers to avoid strong abrasives.
