Go On, Get Fancy.

A most elegant and fanciful peacock, painted with a very small brush and squinting eyes (no magnifying glass, really). This strutting fellow is painted in vivid oil paint on a glossy white oil enamel backdrop. Deep blues and turquoises with bright citrus greens and gold. Inspired purely by my eyes' personal gluttony for color (I love green like a peacock loves itself).

Each piece is photographed before posting, so the one depicted in the pictures is precisely what this listing is for. The painting is built up over many days, allowing first the background and then the layers to dry as details and colors are added. It's durable and water-resistant.

MATERIAL:
The locket is two-tone brass and comes from vintage stock, so each piece has its own bit of natural tarnish. The diameter of the sphere is 18 mm - same as a dime.
The chain is raw brass which will oxidize to a deep vintage gold over time (don't worry, it doesn't mark skin or clothes). It measures 20" (50.8 centimeters), and is closed with a lobster clasp.

SHIPPING:
Each locket comes in its very own decorative tin (surprise!). Padded kraft envelopes will keep it snug and safe. Shipping is first class with delivery confirmation (tracking) for domestic packages, and first class with a customs form for international. I ship 2-3 days a week, to get orders out promptly.
