As with all cold processed soaps, please store this soap in a well drained dish so it does not become soggy.
If you have never tried homemade soap, you are in for a treat! I find that when I use it in the shower, I no longer have to lotion my entire body after showering! My skin is hydrated and happy – not to mention smells wonderful!
I even use homemade soap to wash my hair! Just get your hair wet like normal and either rub the bar all over your hair or lather into your hands then put the lather in your hair. If you experience a buildup of oils (this is normal because there are no harsh chemicals in the soap that strip the natural oils away) either wash with regular shampoo as needed (maybe once a week) or use a vinegar-water rinse. I no longer need to use conditioner now that I started washing my hair with homemade soap!
I have gotten in the habit of cutting a chunk of my bars of soap and bringing the smaller pieces into the shower. That way I can change soaps often and have multiple soaps in the shower at one time.
