Huge 4 X 6 foot California state flag from the 1950s. The flag flew over the Fairfax school until 1963. Legend has it the flag was taken down on November 22, 1963 after the assassination of JFK and never flown again. I purchased the flag at the estate sale of the janitor that took down the flag that day.

The flag is heavyweight linen with printed design. It has a heavy brass grommet at each corner. The flag is yellowed with age and has fraying at one corner. It also has a small tear. Both items can be seen in photos above. Despite and age spots, this is still an amazing piece of history and would be great in your home or your dorm room!
