I'm not sure the date of this retro Colibri pocket lighter. Emulating a classic 1930s lift arm design, this quality reproduction has been update to use butane fuel (not in regular use until the 1950s). My best guess is this new-old-stock (NOS) reproduction dates to the 1970s or early 1980s. This Colibri features a gold toned finish with faux black leather wrap and works much lift a classic lift arm. To light, raise its arm to open the gas valve then strike the vertically mounted spark wheel. To extinguish the flame, just close the arm with a simple flick of the thumb. The flint chamber and butane input valve are both accessed from the base.
This Colibri is working and in like-new functional condition. It looks to have been unused before my test firing; I cleaned remnants of its retail adhesive price sticker from the faux leather wrap. It will be shipped with a new Zippo flint and without butane. (If you plan to only display this lighter, please remove the flint so it does not deteriorate and become re-impacted over time.) I've provided high quality photos to offer the best preview of this Colibri. Please take a look and feel free to ask any questions.
