Where the Wild Things Are is one of my favorites, right up there with Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. I recently made a giant wooden wall hanging based on it ( you can see that here: http://www.instructables.com/id/Where-the-Wild-Things-Are-wall-art/ ), and loved it so much I wanted to make something a little smaller. :D
This original illustration of a wild thing is hand embroidered on linen! I modeled it after Carol - stripes on the arms and grey horns. The body is embroidered with six strands of floss, the letters are done in three strands. Very dainty!
This embroidery measures 5 x 7 inches - the perfect fit for a frame! It's backed with linen as well to keep the stitches safe, and the edges are overlocked to keep it all nice and neat.
This embroidery pairs nicely with my "let the wild rumpus start!" embroidery:
This embroidery is made to order - it'll take on average two days for completion, so up to four days to ship! I'll let you know if there are any delays. :)
P.S. I do custom orders! Have an idea you'd like to see embroidered? Want to change something in an existing listing of mine? Message me - I'd love to work with you.
