Ah what a delight!

"The Complete Letter Writer and Book of Social Forms," edited by Charles Walter Brown. It's a real snapshot in time. There are model letters for a great variety of social occasions: introductions, business, personal correspondence, and even love letters.

There are some really entertaining relationship pieces: how to decline an offer of marriage, how a widow is supposed to answer proposals, or how a gentleman might "renew a ruptured engagement."

The book has been fairly well-used, so there is wear to the corners, the edges of pages, and the spine is just beginning to weaken. There is some page-yellowing, and light foxing. The book naturally falls open to a section toward the middle, pictured, where there is a slight gap between sewn signatures.

Otherwise quite usable and enjoyable.
