Exposed socket design dates back to the early 1900's. When simple pendant lighting was the norm and wall switches were well....not invented yet. I love using a keyed (turn knob or pull chain) style socket with a lot of my designs. It harkens back to an earlier time when things were simple and beautiful. Using this exposed socket design allows me to create a feel that will fit in all styles of living while giving a nod to a time gone by.
This is a great new design I refer to as my "Twin Series". I love the blend of Antique Brass and Black Twist Wire. The type of twin piece can be done with most any of my shades so if you see another piece of glass or shade you would like this done too...just ask and we will see what I can do.
** About this particular shade… These are great glass shades. Reminiscent of the vintage "jelly jars". So practical and simple. Love them!
