What an amazing find! Not sure how this 1920s dress has managed to look as good as the day it was made. Saffron colored silk velvet with an overskirt of embroidered netted ti;;e. The design in the netting is geometric and floral with that Art Deco feel. Definitely a flapper style party dress with the lame sash and original silk ribbon rose on the waistline. The flower picks up the colors in the netting as well as the pink in the metallic trimmed arm holes. I cannot find any major flaws, stains or tears. The only issue is that the trim shows some velvet (photo #4) and the inside of the bodice where the original chiffon lining is has two separations from the velvet, but it doesn't show and can be removed or tacked down. The nap of the velvet is so soft and not even a rub on it leads me to believe this dress was either never worn or worn maybe once and not to any party. Almost every 20's dress I find has some kind of drink spills or areas that need repairing but not this one. Size is about a 4. Bust measures 32" waist is also 32" and hips are loose fitiing with a total heighth of 44".
