This quilt contains a large variety of beautiful food fabrics worked in a variation of the string-quilt pattern. The vivid fabric in this piece includes cucumbers, lettuce, grapes, carrorts, garlic, cherries, strawberries, corn, tomatoes, and other scrumptious prints which all remind me of the farmer's market on 65th Street and National in West Allis, Wisconsin. The quilt front is machine-pieced, with quilting also done by machine in the quilt-in-the-ditch method. The back of the quilt (also pictured) features an old-fashioned seed advertisement with sunflowers and vegetables. The batting is 100% unbleached cotton, giving this piece a smooth feel. This quilt has been finished with the flip and stitch method (no binding), with a triple seam securing the edges, the detail on this is pictured above.
This piece measures 21 1/4" x 21 1/4".
The eye-catching colors and prints in this unique quilt add warmth and charm to any space. This piece would look great displayed on a kitchen wall or table and makes a fun treat for yourself or a sweet gift for someone special who loves gardening or cooking (or both!).
This quilt may be washed on cold and dried on low-heat and has already been pre-washed for you. This was made in a smoke-free home. Our home is animal-friendly, but the studio where this was made is a pet-free zone.
