This eye-catching 100% silk chiffon scarf has been patterned using the Japanese shibori technique "arashi" (pole wrapped). Marine blue, violet and crimson silk fibre dyes were used to colour the silk. The pattern takes on the appearance of an "ikat weave" with subtle colour change gradually from one end of the scarf to the other. The intricate patterning and combining of harmonious colours makes this a unique wearable art piece.
This silk chiffon scarf makes an attractive accessory to any outfit worn in any season.
Size of the scarf: 28cm wide x 155cm long (11" x 61") with rolled hems.
I am very environmently conscious and only use eco-friendly dyes and dyeing processes.
Easy to care - Hand wash ONLY in warm water with a little gentle hair shampoo (this is great for silk) then rinse, dry in shade and iron on a "warm setting".
