I got started making needlebooks because they are a fun way to use up all the pretty little bits and pieces of lace, buttons, fabrics, and things that I find at estate sales, or have left over and don't want to throw out. This 3x6 inch needlebook is a great example. The fabric itself was a gift from a friend, the piece of lace going around it is very old, and was just a few inches found in a lady's sewing box at an estate sale. I have been saving the lace for years, waiting to find the perfect spot for it! The ribbon ties are decorated with pink pearl beads taken from a broken necklace in a box of jewelry I bought at an auction, the little pocket for thread is the unstained part of a bun cozy, and the tiny pink roses on the needlepage were in the bottom of another sewing machine drawer. All together, they make a needlebook no one else can ever duplicate!
the cover is reinforced with heavy weight interfacing to retain it's shape. The accessories are not included.
These make wonderful gifts for crafters, or anyone who just needs a few supplies to reattach buttons when they go to college or travel, and this one will truly be unique!
