This is a small oak dovetailed file box by Mead Johnson & Co. of Evansville, Indiana.

This box originally held information on Mead's Infant Diet Materials, or so it states under the lid.

Box measures 5 1/2" wide, 4" tall, and is 2" deep.
I added the blank label on the front, which you can leave on or remove, whatever you desire.

There are a couple of very tiny specks of white on the front that may be residual paint, and a very tiny splotch of what looks like orange paint on the very top.
I'm sure it all could be removed with no problems but I wanted to keep this box pretty much as I found it, warts and all!

This would be a cute little storage box in your studio for small labels or supplies.

Vintage wood file box with dovetailed corners, Mead's File Index, oak box, small size
