This pretty handbag hails from the 1960s, made of glossy wicker straw in a golden blonde color, accented with sculptural gold metal hardware in the form of bamboo. The turnlock clasp opens up to a roomy interior, lined in cream-colored vinyl with a metal zipper pocket and slip pocket on either side. Slender gold bamboo columns on the corners also act as feet to protect the underside.
This was made by Lesco Lona, a high-end handbag company with showrooms on Madison Avenue back in the day. In the 1960's, their bags retailed for as much as $200 which is over $1500 in today's money. You can read more about Lesco Lona at http://www.bagladyemporium.com/BLU/index.php?n=Main.LescoLtd.

excellent condition other than some mellowing on the gold color of the hardware and some light soiling on the inside. All in all, it's quite sturdy and fantastic, ready to use and love ♥
