Excellent condition single bracelet with red and blue glass stones; blue, green and yellow enamel work and dangling antique coins.
It´s a beautiful silver bracelet handmade in the Jewish Berber style. Before World War I, large Jewish settlements existed in Fez, Morocco. The Jewish silversmiths designed these wonderful Berber enamel and silver jewelry pieces.
These bracelets were often made with coin silver. This one acid tests strongly for sterling silver but is not marked.
The bracelet appears to be signed, see photo #2. I have no idea what the signature identifies.
This Tribal bracelet is decorated with 4, Morocco, 1 Dirham AH 1299 silver coins that were minted in Paris between 1873 and 1894. These coins date to 1881 (Thank you to a fellow Etsian for sharing his knowledge about coin dating with me!).
The interior diameter is 2". It fits my medium wrist perfectly snug and does not roll.
Height 1 3/8"
Tests positive for sterling
Silver saw tooth setting is partially missing, see photo 4
