The fantastic blue and white checkerboard silk with which the jacket is lined is broken and shattering, and should be replaced, if one wishes to wear it without damaging the existing lining further. There is one moth chew on the upper left arm, and one on the back right shoulder. The left arm has fade along the back side, below the elbow - you can see this in the first photo.
The skirt is missing two buttons, one at the front, and one at the back. The silk lining/binding that covers the padded bones at the waist has some breakage along the edges.
Despite the weakness of the silk components, the piece is very sturdy and the wool is still entirely wearable. A rare and striking piece.
