In this work, Mourlot, who was the Master Printer for many artist of the period, including Braque, Chagall, Dufy, Léger, Matisse, Miró, and Picasso, produced this lithograph, with painstaking care, using the same lithographic technique as was used to create the original. Mourlot notes that "This composition is one of the early, very successful examples of abstract art published for a wide public."
