The beautiful curving frame is hand carved with interesting details and cabriole legs. The rounded back and seat make the chair surprisingly comfortable and a unique addition to any room. The finish on the wood is a rich brown with red tones that appears to be mahogany. To ensure it will look great for many more years, the frame has been re-glued, the stain has been touched up, and the whole piece has gotten a fresh coat of polyurethane. Some wear expected for its age is still visible (although not really noticeable), such as small dings, dents and other signs that it has been a used and loved part of history.
The round back and seat have been upholstered in a Thomas Paul print featuring large blooms, butterflies, and dragonflies throughout. The fabric is a cotton linen blend with a cream background, brown outlines, with aqua / light blue, light pink, light green and burnt oranges. The pattern is simple, sweet and will introduce that vintage or antique look without being stuffy.

All my chairs are completely stripped to the frame and rebuilt with all new materials (this included the springs). The springs are 8-way hand tied for added stability and longevity. The fabric is 95% cotton, 5% linen and pretreated for stain resistance by the manufacturer (Duralee).
