Made in Italy by Gemelli, this is a very nice, vintage espresso maker, circa '60s-'70s. The bottom and lid are polished aluminum. The top is either enameled porcelain or aluminum; however, as the band around the base of the top reads "Stilnova, Porcelain Line Smaltex 350", my guess is the top is porcelain. The interior of the top is an ivory color and the exterior is orange with white daisy-type flowers, three on each side.
The height is approx. 9-1/4" including the knob, and 8" excluding lid with knob. The measurement across the top (the opening) is 4-1/4" and across the base is 4-1/8". The resevoir, beneath the valve, hold 2 cups of water. The bottom is impressed with a triangle and within this triangle, along each leg, appears "13 Gemelli", and in the center of the triangle is what appears to be a star surrounding three tiny circles. Along one exterior leg of the triangle appears "Made in Italy".
The inside of the top has some slight coffee staining and the inside bottom of the base has some water deposit staining, which is to be expected given its age. You should be able to see this in the pictures. The hinge where the lid attaches to the top is tight but works perfectly well.
This is a very clean vintage espresso maker, and it makes wonderful espresso as well! It is in excellent, vintage condition.
