This line, taken from Tolkien's famous "All that is gold does not glitter" poem in The Lord of the Rings, has become a sort of rallying standard for travelers and wanderers around the globe. For anyone with wanderlust, or for those who have traveled far from home, this mug will declare that often the winding, rambling road is the one taken with the most specific intent.
I used a truly unique, hand-thrown mug for this quote. It has a subtle pedestal base, and widens dramatically toward the lip, its ribbed surface glazed with streaks of cream and periwinkle blue. Across the top I painted a line of colorful trees, perfect for recalling mountain trails and sunlit forests.
Go on, then. Wander.
All my work is done with heat-set ceramic paint, and is dishwasher and microwave safe. I would recommend against scrubbing the art with harsh abrasives, however.
