This piece is made of a metal called aluminum/bronze,sterling silver and copper. Its the durable alloy used to make the "gold" coins used in many countries today. It is used for coins because of its durability and tarnish resistance.
I became aware of its potential on a trip to Bali, the local jewelers use Australian dollar coins, which are made of this same metal, to make all manner of jewelry. They call it "Bali Gold"
