BREATHTAKING MILKY CLEAR IRIS VASE The most gorgeous and rare vase that I have seen. Lots of research went into this listing, but I finally found it! You can reference it on RubyLane or ebay or other sites listing Barolac or Inwald. Made in Old Czechoslovakia in the 1930's-people begged the company owner and his son (both designers) to hide their factory moulds due to the threat of war. They did not and many or all were lost during WW2. I think this vase is simply gorgeous! It is art nouveau transitioned into art deco. It is LALIQUE styled. Very soft and detailed. Barolac was the region or name of the English company that imported these beauties to sell in England. When the US imported this company's creations, they were sold under the name of "Weil" Also:: Interesting fact about Inwald Company____their trademark was to leave a highly polished untouched glass bottom-you could see through it! They also signed their pieces sometimes with "Barolac". This piece is signed this way on the bottom-see photos. Very interesting history!! Condition: used, vintage, some markings, scratched bottom, but solid, heavy and unchipped condition as far as I can tell.
Specs: 10" tall-9" diameter top
