Cross-stitch is one of the oldest forms of embroidery. Cross-stitch is a form of counted-thread embroidery in which X-shaped stitches in a tiled, raster-like pattern are used to form a picture. Projects are categorized by stitches per inch, which can range from 14 to 40 count. (the larger the count- the finer the stitches)
