There are 4 chevron stripes along the width of the front. They are made of a fun fabric design called "City" made by Timeless Treasures. This designer fabric has a series of city windows with black silhouettes of people, pets, a little girl with ponytails, a couple embracing, a cat, a dog, a potted plant and more. The fabric pattern is interesting for kids and adults to enjoy.
Behind each "City" chevron is a solid white flannel chevron. By layering the white behind the print, it gives texture to the quilt and helps to emphasize the white contrast. The chevrons are appliqued with a raw edge that will fray the fabric to the sewn line.
The rag quilt is given a rag quilt finish with the edges sewn and clipped all around the quilt. The quilt blanket was washed and dried to start the fraying.
The chevron quilt measures a generous 42x57 inches.
I would recommend machine wash delicate cycle and air dry in the future to protect the flannel.
If you like the chevron pattern, there are more chevron quilts coming soon so stop by my shop for new arrivals. http://www.etsy.com/shop/marylandquilter?ref=si_shop
