Silhouettes are HOT right now, guys ... I'm talking, they're making a SERIOUS comeback. (Did they ever go OUT?) But commissioning someone to make a custom silhouette for you can get pricey. And quick. For a flat $9 per person I can hand draw a silhouette from your reference photo ... then I'll email you a high-resolution digital file that's yours to do with what you wish. Use it as an avatar for your Facebook or Etsy profile. Print it out and frame it. Put it on a tshirt, coffee mug or throw pillow. Dude, the possibilities are ENDLESS when you're in a DIY state of mind.
Let me do the hard part for you ... then you get to do all the fun craftiness that will make it uniquely your own.
I use an iPad and stylus to create my silhouettes ... which means that each one has a unique quality that catches all the tiny little details that make the profile unmistakably you. But it also means that I can do them fairly quickly ... which means ridiculously low cost for you.

PHOTO TIPS
A few tips for taking your reference photo:
- A blank wall works best as a backdrop .. Try to use natural light.
- Take the photo directly from the side, with the camera at the subject's eye level.
- Include the entire head, neck and top of shoulders
- If your subject has long hair, the final silhouette looks best if her hair is pulled back and away from her face, secured with a barrette or in a pony tail.
If you're not sure about your photo, feel free to include several to choose from ... It's possible to mix and match to get the best end result.
