Beautiful beads from the shells of the spiny oyster! The spiny oyster is a type of bi-value mollusk whose shells have been highly valued and used for jewelry since ancient times. The purple coloring is natural. You'll find shades from lavender to dark plum, accented with pockets or bands of white, and occasionally, yellow or red. Each bead is unique with a slightly different color pattern. There are tiny little holes in the shell which are often found in this material. Despite the holes, the beads are smooth and have a nice understated luster. Please allow for some slight variation in cut and size, which just adds to the organic nature of these beads. Great to add a natural pop of color to any design. Come on, let's make something beautiful!
