I think whatever I write here won't be enough to describe what a treasure these leg warmers are. Somewhere in the 30's of the last century my grade grand mother weaved this very special lace. Back in the olden times everything was made with desire, inspiration, effort and knack by our forefathers. Every single piece of fabric, embroidery, knit, crochet....everything is so precisely made, so loving, so unique.
This lace is made over a net, hand knotted, knot by knot...then the ornaments are hand made with some kind of loom that does not exist anymore(maybe in some museum). All this was told to me from my grandmother, who still keeps some memories of the evenings together with her mom and other women together crafting and talking sweet stories.
So about these leg warmers...suitable for bride, bridesmaid, cocktail and everyday round. I personally would wear them every day with denim skirt or shorts.They are edged with creamy colored cotton fine yarn. The ties are fine and you can wear the corset tie part either on the sides or on the back. They are finished with beige wooden beads.
I can very crearly imagine a bride or bridemade wearing this invaluable treasuies on her most special day. They are really a culture wealth with much stories to tell and to feel.
Size: The lenght is 32cm/12.6 inches. Width - 20cm/8 inches. As for the width it is very adjustable through the ties,so sizes that can fit are: XS, S, M, L, XL.They look great even if your legs are not perfect (on the pictures M - sized model).
