To create this darling first purse, I chose a fun patchwork butterfly print on light pink. Then I quilted the fabric, giving each butterfly a three dimensional look. I took the time to line the purse and hand sew a traditional quilt binding. With a short handle that is just right for a small hand to grasp, it is safe, sturdy, and most importantly, adorable!
Children respond to beautiful well-made playthings. As a mother, I am often frustrated by the sheer volume of junk that is marketed to my children. By creating these little purses, I hope to provide parents with an alternative to toxic, dangerous, and annoying toys. I promise that this little purse will never beep, flash, or growl in the middle of the night!

As with all fine quilts, please do not wring or put it in the dryer. Instead, after washing: reshape, then press dry between towels and lay flat to dry. Washing instructions included with the sewn-in label.
