Hubble Space Telescope image that inspired this colorway:
As in the majority of galaxies, all of the stars in M64 are rotating in the same direction, clockwise as seen in the Hubble image. However, the interstellar gas in the outer regions of M64 rotates in the opposite direction from the gas and stars in the inner regions. Messier 64 (M64) has a spectacular dark band of absorbing dust in front of the galaxy's bright nucleus, giving rise to its nicknames of the "Black Eye" or "Evil Eye" galaxy. Located in the northern constellation Coma Berenices, M64 resides roughly 17 million light-years from Earth.
About this yarn:
Springy and plush, Stargazer’s firm twist creates a durable sock yarn. This versatile 2-ply yarn is also brilliant for cherished tees, shawls, and scarves. The colorful plies plump against one another, catching the light like stars in the sky.
While this yarn is machine washable in cold water, hand washing can extend the life of the garment. Lay flat to dry.
This colorway is available as a custom order. Note that all my yarns are hand-dyed and no two skeins are the same, despite similarities.
This item is multi-colored in caramel, charcoal, cream, and white tones. This listing is for one 100g skein in the colorway shown in the picture. The yarn is shown before and after re-skeining so you might have a better idea how it will look knitted/crocheted. I take pictures that represent the color/texture of the item as accurately as I can. Please remember that monitors vary in how they render colors. If you have any questions, I welcome your conversation.
All my yarns are hand-dyed one at a time, using high-quality, professional dyes in a non-smoking, pet-free home.
