knotted fringe
made from
waxed black cotton cord
and
ochre yellow mookaite jasper. (colorful jasper from Western Australia)
The focal piece is an antique sterling silver and
real turquoise zuni pendant
that used to be
an earring.
It's surrounded by two real turquoise chips.
The aventurine sticks, mookaite jasper and pendant are suspended on a coated beading wire.
It's neatly tucked in the first bone carved tube bead on each side.
I love these Indonesian bone beads for their contrast.
Black and White symbolizes the dance of the opposites
that we also see in the Yin & Yang symbol.
The lime green, split pea and lilac colors on the ceramic beads add
just enough color to catch up with the bright turquoise stone on the sterling pendant.
The light pastel orange and coral red of the Lime beads make the necklace almost complete.
The small deep turquoise magnesite beads correspond harmoniously with
the pendant and complete the necklace.
Real copper plated ornate hook clasp makes a really easy and safe closure.
The necklace is 16" long in its circumference.
The longest fringe is 2".
