This is a large Australian boulder opal that I have cut, polished and set, and I am proud. An absolute one-off masterpiece, that cannot be reproduced.
The rough boulder opal came from a friend of mine from way out west Queensland in boulder opal country and it has come up beautifully with a high polish front and back. The electric blue flashes are lovely and contrast well against the wood grain look of the ironstone rock.
I've made a hinge bail that sets it off nicely, I think. On the back I have done a cut out design to highlight the ironstone wood grain look, it has been textured and stamped 925 like all my designs.
The measurement are approx. 47mm across x 25mm height (not including the bail) x 5 to 7mm in thickness. The bail is about 15mm high and is 6mm deep for a larger chain.
International shoppers very welcome, and I know you like Australian opal!!
Thank you for taking a look.
