This is a stunning heirloom book piece of Mexican silver. The tear drop necklace created by Los Ballesteros in the early 1940's and is a truly fine piece of jewelry. 15" in length this heirloom piece of sterling silver cascades 3 1/2" inches from the choker in a waterfall effect of silver tear drops and rippling waves. The clasp is of the same early 1940's vintage era with a snap over ball hook.
This fine jewelry piece is stamped on the rear of one of the rear drops with Eagle 42, Taxco, Talleres de Los Ballesteros, found on page 98 of The Little Book of Mexican Silver Trade and Hallmarks. This vintage necklace is in excellent vintage condition with a warm patina.
