Here is my interpretation of George R.R. Martin's "A Game Of Thrones" character Arya Stark.
Out of all of his wonderful characters, I love Arya the most.
I hope to have captured her uniqueness, strength and isolation.
Elements associated with the North in both physical and mystical terms have been used in her making, such as Birch bark and twig, tiny bird bones and sheep's wool.
Arya is a ragamuffin of a girlchild, so I chose just to give a hint of her high birth by the fine silver textile that adorns her bodice and the inside of her wool cape.
Her tail and canine inspired legs are comment on her deep bond with her Direwolf Nymeria and her ability to shape shift.
Arya has been painted with a mixture of vegetable pigment and acrylic and sealed with a waterproof and UV safe, slightly satin finish varnish. Arya is a warrior maiden of the North so she fares better in the shade than bright sunlit places.
She is approximately 20 centimetres/8 inches tall.
Arya is a hardy girl, but of delicate structure, so best to keep her out of the hands of children. She hates to be toyed with and we wouldn't want Nymeria to gobble up any little ones now would we...
