I started making the Great Horned Owl because we have a pair in our neighborhood. I love to listen to their hooting in the winter nights, and imagine their giant forms, sitting tall in the woods behind our house. I am particularly proud of my owls. I love the totemic peaceful power they represent. They are the living symbol of night vision – they see a different world than those who see by day.

This bead is about 2 3/4 inches tall, and the hole runs from the top of the head to the bottom. The wooden stand in the photo is a cherry wood xlg stand made for me by and artist in Virginia.

If you are a jewelry maker, then imagine the possibilities in a necklace, with this majestic creature as a central pendant, or in-line in an asymmetrical piece, with the bird to one side.

I think this Great Horned Owl wearable glass sculpture is peaceful, engaging, powerful, and magnetic.
If you purchase him, and don't agree with me, then return the artwork for a full refund, including your shipping costs. I'm confident that when you open your order, you'll experience the same excitement that you have for the wild ones.
