This style locket was most likely used as a watch fob. Fobs were charms that were used as counter-weights for pocket watches.
The locket holds two photos. There are no frames or photo covers. This style locket is also great for holding little notes or tiny trinkets.
Dates to about 1880
About 1" in length. Comes with 22" gold filled chain.
