Here is Misha, the little bear that was the mascot for the 1980 XXII summer Olympics held in Moscow Russia.
Misha measures 1 ½” in length and ¾” wide across the ears. The pin is made from gold colored metal with lots of texture on the body to represent hair. The features are well defined with a cute red turned up mouth and mischievous eyes. Around his waist is a belt with the 5 rings of the Olympic games.
* "In Russian, Misha is a diminutive for the Russian male name Mikhail (Michael). Most bears appearing in Russian fairy tales have this name, because it is similar to the Russian Mishka, the diminutive of Медведь (Medved, Bear)."
The back has a pin and a raised 35K and a W3 in an oval.
The pin is in very nice vintage condition with no damage.
