Pinch glassware was first designed by Russel Wright and manufactured by Imperial Glass in 1949 to pair with Wright's "Casual" line of dinnerware for Iroquois.
Early editions of Pinch glassware featured thick walled glass and ground glass bottoms, while later editions featured much thinner walls.
These 6 early edition iced tea glasses are avocado green and are quite substantial: each glass weighs in at almost 1 pound, and they are 4 5/*" tall with a 3 1/2" diameter at the top edge. Glasses have a 16 oz. capacity when filled to the brim, and will comfortably hold 12 ounces with ice.
Glasses are in very good condition, with no chips or cracks. There are slight scratches on a few of the glasses, although the scratches are fairly insignificant and are the only slight signs of wear to the set.
