The pattern is written in standard American terms and includes sizes newborn to 10 years. It is worked using a hook H and worsted weight yarn. I have used Red Heart Super Saver and Loops and Threads Impeccable for my samples but you are free to use any worsted weight cotton for a more breathable hat. This is a beginner level pattern involving only basic crochet stitches. The pattern also gives you an option to make the brim shorter or wider and includes the tutorial for the flowers as well.
