The central circular glass cabouchon is the most amazing color - pools of foiled raspberry red glass on a silver flecked ground. This central glass section is claw set in a brass mount and has three glass dangles attached to the base consisting of round and droplet shaped glass beads with metal hoop links between. The glass droplets are very pretty swirls in shades of red and bands of applied foiled glass. The main necklace is made of red glass beads with two larger foiled band glass beads that are joined with elongated brass diamond shapes and hoop links. The clasp is a ring bolt hoop fastener.
The necklace is in good vintage condition with areas of loss to the foiled applied glass bands. I believe the brass may once have had a silver wash but this has worn away over time and the metal is now a uniform soft brassy gold color. The clasp is firm and secure. Unmarked.
A really pretty example of foiled Czech glass jewelry that is highly wearable and equally collectible.
