The focal of the ring is a vintage 17 jewel Elgin watch movement, an elegant oval .65 x .9 inches (13 x 23mm) in size with original rubies, sculptural plates, cogs and wheels. The mechanism is striped with engraving known as Fausses Cotés or geneva Waves; these stripes appear to be 3D but are flat to the touch and shimmer delightfully in the light. The serial number on the Elgin movement gives the year of production as 1936 - you will be wearing a slice of horological history.
The ring is mounted with a sparkling rose cut Peridot gemstone set into a sterling silver bezel cup - the fresh lime green is crisp against the aged polished steel
The ring has a band fashioned from a vintage silver spoon, heavily embossed with a scrolled floral design - very smooth and comfortable to wear. Ring size 7, not adjustable.
The ring is torch soldered in for extra strength and enduring beauty.
This ring is one of a kind - designed and handmade in New Zealand by Janne Perry, the vintage parts ensure that there will never be another quite the same.
The ring will be delivered to the buyer in a handmade black felt ClosetGothic envelope.
