The motive comes from Mezőkövesd, which found in a northern hungarian region, called Matyóföld ( Matyó land), which is famuos for it’s folk art, particulary the folk embroidery.
I have copied the rose motive from an old table-cover made by husband’s grandmother.
The broosh was embroidered by hand on felt base with cotton yarn. The colors are not traditionally, it's my style...I love theese colours so much!
The brooch contains hand painted wood beads.
