I centered this piece around a summer celebration held on the lake front (Lake Michigan) called Summerfest, which kicks of summer and continues for 10 days. There are at least 15 different music stages, fireworks, rides, sports events and so much more. Now this weekend kicks off the different ethnic festivals, also along the lake front on the same grounds. This weekend is Italian Fest............and so on until the last week in August
You may notice two cut-outs with crystals attached: they spin and are just above and below the druzy stone. I wanted the spinning to reflect the internal spinning as well as the rides spinning at the CARNIVAL Those are vintage Swarovski Crystal Spikes that are really cool.........they are clear from most angles, but when you look directly into
them, all you see is purple. :)

5. Numbers of hours involved in designing this piece exceeds 100 hours. It took 5 hours just to do one side of the fringe. The purple section consists of 2 layers of beading, so as to vary the depth and texture
