Naughty But Nice image of a Ziegfeld Follies Showgirl from the early 20th century.
She is nearly naked as she poses, holding aloft a hoop over her head, with her long arms curving around its circumference. The quality of this image changes from sepia to vintage black and white, depending on how the light hits it.
She is bewitching – her white skin against the long, black, beaded scarf – her only costume – draping around her shoulders, then snaking down the front of her body, strategically styled to “protect her modestly.”
The necklace, measuring approximately 16", is a delicate link and bar style in antiqued gold on steel with a handmade oxidized brass clasp. The oxidized brass bezel measures approximately 1" (25mm) in diameter and has tiny zig-zag edging. The image is encased in waterproof hand cast resin.
