The Sun + Moon Collection is a study of the passage of time, day + night. It explores both the immediacy of light turning to dark as day becomes night to the more perforating dichotomy between ancient and modern. One can sense this tension whilst smoothing a thumb over the glossy lacquered gold to the soft, matte porcelain--it feels simultaneously as archaeological find and contemporary art. Overall, the focus is set on bold contrasts and strong form whilst retaining a minimal aesthetic providing the essence of these entities without attempting to overpower the wearer but merely interact with the give and take of the Sun + Moon.
