1940's
12 Note Model
With original Mallet
A wonderful old toy that sounds just as good today as it did when it was new.
Fantastic color!
Made of tin and other metals, there is no plastic on this item
The original decal is firmly attached. It comes with its original mallet for striking the notes and of course it is as soft or as loud as you want depending on how hard you strike it.
It has all twelve original notes. It is missing four of the round felt pads on three of the notes but these can be easily replaced if you choose to do so. The wooden mallet is original to the piece and is in exceptional good condition considering its age and use.
The overall condition of the xylophone is "good". It does show gentle signs of use and age mainly on the bottom portion which can be seen in the pictures. There isn't enough space to post all of the pictures I have but I am happy to send more on request.
This is a great display piece! On any shelf or in any case it will be a point of interest for all who see it and make for fun conversation. Of course you can always play songs on it or let the little ones play with it as well if that is your intent.
The xylophone is 18x6 and is 4 1/2" high
The mallet is 10" long - the head of the mallet is 1 1/4" across
